Even if we decided to send out quarterly newsletters, it wouldn't be the same. We could afford it ourselves, but not everyone else can, so we'd miss out. Remember: social media became popular in a world that preceded it for some pretty great reasons. Being able to see a funny friend's daily or even weekly thoughts, has no "snail mail" equivalent.
