I mean, I am firmly in the camp that Internet Writing has (and should have) fewer rules than formal writing. A dash is a perfectly acceptable way to break up a sentence in non-formal writing. I'm sorry it bothered you though? I used to have Grammarly installed, but I found it was wrong 30% of the time, so I uninstalled it.
