This is an awful lot of data just to get to “Trekkies have always been suspicious of the newest kid on the block, until it has been on long enough for them to love”. Had this data been collected in ’89, two years after TNG premiered, TNG would be listed as “least favorite” and if it had been collected in ’95, 2 years after DS9 premiered, DS9 would have been listed as least favorite. So congrats, if you love Discovery (as I do, GenX, grew up on TNG) you’re just ahead of the curve, more open-minded, and more objective in your approach to the newest expressions of a franchise.
